Professor Muhammad Yunus once said that “the only place where poverty should be is in museums.” Grameen Foundation recognizes that the fight to eradicate poverty is a global one. Therefore, we do not treat our experiences, lessons learned, or any of the tools we develop toward this goal as proprietary. This means that we encourage others who share our mission to utilize our country-specific tools, like the Progress out of Poverty Index™ to increase microfinance’s impact. For example, in order to share the resources of our Village Phone program with a wider community, we published two Village Phone Replication Manuals and created a website dedicated to supporting organizations interested in starting their own programs.

As we continue to develop cutting-edge weapons in the fight against poverty, we will also continue to support and encourage those who embody our passion for making an impact on poor families worldwide.
